Challenge #1: Quest To Be The Best-All 3 tribes will start at the starting line Platform and must work together to complete
3 Stations and make their way to the finish line. No person can complete more then one station in this challenge. The 3 people who do the Stations, cannot do the instructions at the finish line!
-All work involved in this challenge must be posted in the CORRECT thread. The instructions for the Platform can
ONLY be posted in the Platform thread. Station #3’s instructions can
ONLY be posted in the Station #3 Thread, get it? Each tribe will be working in the
SAME thread, make sure you don’t get confused because it will cost you dearly.
-For this challenge you must be able to post a picture using the IMG code, and the http: link of the picture. (If you have a photobucket account, upload the pictures being asked and use the 3rd code given after uploading. The 3rd code is the
code which enable the picture to be seen in the Forum.)
-Also
time is a very important factor because each individual person can only post once every five minutes. Lastly you must know how to follow instructions precisely, and have at least 4 people help your tribe out.
Instructions: Platform: Starting at the Platform thread at least 4 tribe members must get in a boat. To enter the boat 1 castaway must
post a picture of a boat, then each tribe mate must post. (Make sure this is posted in the Platform thread)
(Name) gets in the boat. (Tribe Name)You do not have to wait for your entire tribe to enter the boat, only 4 people, but if you leave the Platform before your 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th members get in the boat; then they cannot help you in the challenge if they arrive later. Once you start the paddling process (which is explained below) your tribe has officially left the platform.
Any castaway how has not entered the boat at that point cannot help out in the challenge. Remember: Once you leave the first platform you will only be playing with your tribe mates who have entered the boat. So you can have 4-8 players in this challenge.
After all the people who are playing the challenge on your team enter the boat, you must paddle to Station #1. In order to paddle, you must follow the instructions below. Throughout the entire challenge each person can only post once every 5 minutes, so the more people you have the quicker you will make it to your stations. In order to arrive at your first Station you must as a tribe row 25 times.
In the Platform thread, row 25 times to Station 1, after you've accomplished this you have officially left the platform and arrive at Station #1 Thread.
Example Post: (Must put, name, number of row, and tribe name. The time you will not have to post)
Dave rows number 1 (5:00) (Tribe Name)
Joe rows number 2 (5:02) (Tribe Name)
Dave rows number 3 (5:05) (Tribe Name)
Skylar rows number 4 (5:06) (Tribe Name)
Skylar rows number 5 (5:11) (Tribe Name)Once your tribe has hit #25 you can leave the Platform thread and head over to Station #1 thread. Only one person can complete a station and each person can only do 1.
Station #1: The first person must dive down into the lake and unclip your tribal flag. To do so you must first post a picture of a flag. Any flag but it must be the color of your tribe. Then follow the procedure in the correct order:
Example:Joe climbs out of the boat. (Tribe Name)
Joe swims down. (Tribe Name)
Joe unclips the flag. (Tribe Name)
Joe swims back to surface. (Tribe Name)
Joe climbs back in the boat. (Tribe Name)Keep in mind that you must leave 5 minutes between every post. After that tribe mate gets back into your boat you have completed Station #1, and must row to Station #2. After that person gets back into the boat, your tribe must row 20 more times.
After that 20th row your tribe can head over to Station #2. Station #2: A new person must complete the second task with the procedure below, but first
post a picture of beach scenery/lake.
Example:Dave pulls boat to dock. (Tribe Name)
Dave gets out of boat. (Tribe Name)
Dave runs up beach. (Tribe Name)
Dave unties machete. (Tribe Name)
Dave runs down beach. (Tribe Name)
Dave climbs in boat. (Tribe Name)After the second person gets back in the boat, Station #2 is complete.
Your tribe must now row to the third and final Station, by rowing 15 times. After the 15th row you head to Station #3 thread.
Station #3: In this thread, a third castaway on your tribe must now post a picture of a machete and complete this task:
Example:Skylar pulls boat to tree. (Tribe Name)
Skylar grabs machete in the boat. (Tribe Name)
Skylar chops rope on the tree to free a torch. (Tribe Name)
Skylar grabs the torch. (Tribe Name)After the third castaway has grabbed the torch, your tribe now has its tribal flag and torch.
Now your tribe can run to the finish line. To leave this thread and enter the Finish Line thread the same person who did Station #3 must post. (In this case It would be Skylar.)
The (Name) Tribe has our tribal flag and torch and are running to the finish line. After this is posted you are “
running” to the Finish Line.
You can leave this thread and head over to the Finish Line Thread.Finish Line: In this thread a 4th castaway who has not participated in a Station
must post the tribal flag in their color, as well as a lit torch signifying the torch picked up at Station #3. Then, that same castaway must type and post the following instructions across the Finish Line.
The (Name) Tribe crosses the finish line! The first tribe to cross the finish line after correctly completing the
ENTIRE challenge will earn something very important out here in this game.
Remember: This is a very detailed challenge, so read carefully and follow all the instructions! Some other things to mention…if 2 or more tribes haven't completed the challenge – the ruling will then be in favor of whichever team made it further through the course. If someone posts before his or her 5 minutes they must delete their post and wait until the correct time. If any of the 3 hosts witness the screw up, you will be penalized 5 minutes. If in the end your tribe’s time is not cohesive you will automatically be disqualified, so make sure that you yourself posts 5 minutes a part, or you seriously hurt your tribe. None of your posts may be modified, if they are a 5-minute addition for each modified post will be added to your tribe's finishing time.
This challenge will be done when the first tribe crosses the finish line – having completed the challenge correctly in its entirety OR if no tribe has crossed the finish line in twenty-four hours, then the tribe who got the furthest on the course will win.
This challenge will be over/due
Sunday evening, at 5PM EST TIME!
