What can I say? I'm totally speechless. I thought me, Chelsea, and Rich had a great thing going. Apparently not though, considering SOMEBODY voted against me tonight. I seriously wonder who: Chelsea or Rich? We have some answers to uncover come jury time.
Firstly, let me just say that it's been a blast. This was only my 3rd Survivor game and the first 2 didn't go so well at all: 10th place both times, missed the jury by 1 round each time as well. As I played this game, I definitely found myself keeping quiet when I would have normally spoken out and vice versa as well. Basically, I just found myself playing smarter. It was fun to watch unfold. Getting 5th place out of 24 total players? Not too shabby at all.
Before I continue reflecting upon my time spent out here, let me just take a break in the happy, triumphant music playing in the background to unleash a side of Tom that maybe was never seen before. That's right TZ fans, it's time to do some dirt on the amazingly talented Final Four we have here.
Chelsea: you've ridden coattails this entire game. Mainly under Rich, but under me as well. You have this hazy, dark cloud of suspicion going all the way back to the beginning of the game. Did you cheat? I hope somebody asks you this question point-blanc at the finale. I say this because I have no doubt that the others will want to carry you to it, just as I shameless planned on doing. You outlasted me gamewise Chelsea, but you're the typical tag-along player who can only play for 2nd place. Still, it was fun.
Sammy: even MORE so than Chelsea, YOU'VE ridden coattails! I swear, how you made it to the Final Four, Sammy, I have no idea. I considered voting for you back on TRIBAL COUNCIL TWO because you were so worthless to our tribe. You were just lucky that the majority of our tribe fixated more on Emma and Josh than on you! For whatever reason. You've done absolutely nothing strategic this game whatsoever Sammy. If you make it to the final round, you're an easy person to immediately cross of my list. If the other jurors vote for you just because you've offended nobody, this game is a total sham. And an absolute shame.
Rich: my man. I would be shocked if you're the one who voted against me. Even if you were though, I had full-on intentions of getting rid of you the next tribal council. It's the game. So I suppose I wouldn't hold it that much against you. You've played a solid game, but I do agree with Skylar that the silly idol you possess has simultaneously given you power with laziness. I think you've coasted up to this point. It'll be interesting to see whether or not you can handle the pressure of an idol-less Final Four. Best of luck.
Skylar: you're obnoxious. Totally, utterly, obnoxious. I'd like to think that I would cast my jury vote for somebody while disregarding any personal feelings I have toward that person. But Skylar, if you make it to the final tribal council, it will be difficult for me to vote for you. I'm not gonna rule that possibility out, but I feel like you dig your own grave with your comments sometimes. It's one thing to be forthright and open and honest and all that crap, but it's a completely different thing to just smear people for the fun of it. An interesting final 2 would be you and Rich. I would be torn.
In summation: Chelsea, Sammy, you will both very most likely NOT be getting my jury vote. Rich, Skylar, it's a toss-up right now.
35 days out of 39. I'm impressed. I definitely did better than I ever thought I would, especially with 240 people playing to start the game out. To the hosts, you all did a great job. I enjoyed this very much. To the jury, I guess most of you are happy to see me join you. Even though I did nothing malicious to any of you. Right? Right?? To the final four, good luck. You're an interesting bunch. I'm definitely somewhat bitter that some of you beat me, but hey, it's the game. I look forward to chilling at the jury lodge with Matt, Conny, Zoe, and the gang. We're gonna become best friends.
It was fun while it lasted. Ah well. TZ out.
