Hello everyone. I'm back again and today I spoke with Andy. If you remember correctly Andy was the unfortunate castaway who got the boot after not being picked in the tribal mix up.
Cody: Andy welcome to ¡Surv1vor Live!
Andy: Thanks.
Cody: Well Andy you spent only a few days out there in China give us a quick summary of your time on ¡Surv1vor.
Andy: Well, to be honest, I wouldn't be able to say much. My internet connection went down for two weeks and when it finally worked again, I had been voted off. The people I did get a chance to talk to were very nice, however.
Cody: Oh man that sucks. Well you didn't really get voted out you simply didn't get picked at a tribe swap and got the boot. Does that make it better or worse?
Andy: Better actually, even though to be honest I barely deserved to get that far.
Cody: Why do you say that? I mean it’s fair to say you did more than some people.
Andy: Really? I figured my disappearing would have been seen as me not caring. I mean, don't get me wrong. I wanted to play, but there's little you can do when you can't get online.
Cody: I completely agree. Had you been able to get online what would have been your strategy for this game?
Andy: My strategy would have been to be on good terms with my tribe mates and to perform well at the challenges. Honestly, I never had any backstabbing in mind like I'm sure some people do. For the record I have no one in mind. That was just an overall comment.
Cody: Oh I understand. That seems like a great strategy. Do you think that your tribe mates would have understood the whole trying to be a nice player thing or do you think it would have been seen as "flying under the radar"?
Andy: I’m sure some people would have suspicion, but they'd be entitled to their opinion.
Cody: Your absolutely right. Now there is a question I have been dying to ask you since Emma got the boot. When she left she said she was rooting for you because quote your "hott." Was there some kind of showmance going on there we didn't know about?
Andy: Heheh. I actually heard that from a few people. No there was none. Would be kind of funny though.
Cody: So Andy you have been able to watch what has been going on since you got the boot. What do you think about how the game is going?
Andy: Actually, I haven't really completely looked into it, to be honest.
Andy: I noticed I was out.
Andy: And since then have been consumed by work.
Cody: I definitly understand that. Had your computer not been down do you think you would still be in this game or do you think it was fate that you didn't get picked.
Cody: I mean honestly you only missed it by one person. In all honesty there is a 50/50 chance you could still be in this game right now.
Andy: I think I would have lasted a bit longer. I'm not saying I'd win the whole thing, but without being about to talk with people, I knew I was in trouble.
Andy: Wow, really?
Andy: One person.
Andy: That sucks.
Andy: I didn't know it was that close.
Cody: Yep it came down to you and Zoe. Why didn't they pick you? I mean you said you had talked to a few people.
Andy: Yeah, well, I had conversations with three tribes mates Without mentioning names, two were great to talk to and one was impossible to comprehend.
Andy: Hahah. My way of being vague.
Cody: Oh trust me I understand. I remember Kumi from my days in Greece. Most confusing girl ever. Anyway so any one in particular you are rooting for now?
Andy: Well, I found it Awesome that we had a girl from Australia on our team and I do wish her luck, but really I'm going to wait until it's down to four or five people before I start rooting. Get a feel for where everyone is really coming from.
Cody: I think your talking about Jonty and unfortunately she got the boot at the last tribal council. On that note, it seems a lot of very interesting people are getting the early boot. Do you think that things are going to start getting ugly soon?
Andy: Oh, I didn’t notice that.
Andy: I'm starting to think staying under the radar might be for the better at this point.
Cody: You may be right but some very laid back people have also gotten the boot. At an early stage of this game who do you decide who to vote for. Is it more of who you like or who is being strategic like which people are flying under the radar?
Andy: My voting was, and would have always been based on one of two things. One would be if someone did very poorly on a challenge (to the point where it hurt the rest of the people I was with), or a person that just didn't click with me.
Andy: I'm sure other scenarios would pop up like if someone seemed too good and there was an effort made to boot them.
Cody: Well Andy it is safe to say that had you been in this game a little longer you would have done really well.
Andy: Well, thank you.
Cody: Anytime. I thank you for coming on the show today. I really hate that you went so soon.
Cody: You never know we may see you around for All-Stars. It’s right around the corner.
Andy: It would be a pleasure.
Well Andy you better let us know if anything happens between you and Emma. We might just have our first ¡Surv1vor couple. Until next time.
