Hello everyone after a quick break I'm back. Today I spoke with Joe who was voted out of ¡Surv1vor China a few days ago. Here is what he had to say:
Cody: Joe welcome to ¡Surv1vor Live!
Joe: Thanks Cody, I'm "happy" to be here
Cody: I sense some sarcasm, but we will get to that later. Joe tell me a little about the time you spent in China
Joe: Well my time in China was at first frustrating but turned into a blast.
Joe: I was a little upset on the "younger" tribe I landed on, but once we swapped tribes it was all much better
Cody: Joe had the other tribe not voted out someone on your tribe do you think you would still be around?
Joe: I think so, I think it would have been Skylar leaving since he hasn't been around much and I had talked to about everyone about him out
Joe: So I think I would still be there, and Skylar would be talking to you
Joe: Had there not been the nice little twist of course
Cody: Now what would a game be without a little twist every now and then. You said Skylar was not around that much however he has no officially made the merge. Does that make it worse that he beat you?
Joe: Not really, I like Skylar, just at the time he wasn't helping very much and was the reason we lost the challenge. Nobody saw him on and well I didn't either. I is a strong player, just had a little time that he was rather, well inactive. I guess you can say I'm not HAPPY I'm gone before him, I'm just taking it for what it is
Joe: I can't do anything about it
Cody: You're right Joe. Now you were on the Fu Mal tribe. The Fu Mal tribe did not do that well. Why is that?
Joe: I'm not really sure. Well we did have most of the Dragonez tribe who didn't do well either, so that could have something to do with it. For some reason we just couldn't get it together, that's why we pulled Chelsea over hoping she could help a bit.
Joe: I think we had too many people trying to be leaders, and not enough followers, that's my honest opinion.
Cody: If you don't mind being candid, who was the biggest leader? Why couldn't they pull your tribe together?
Joe: The biggest leader? I don't think anyone could have pulled us together, but the person who THOUGHT they were the biggest leader was Jacob, he seemed to like to tell people what to do at first but then was shadowed when we mixed by Skylar who seemed to try and take the lead.
Joe: Like I said they couldn't pull us together because both were trying to pull different ways
Cody: I understand what you mean. Now Joe you've said you didn't really like the twist. Were you surprised by the out come of it?
Joe: I didn't really know how it was going to go. I knew Jacob was close with people from the other tribes so I knew he wouldn't go.
Joe: I've heard that Sammy was the reason I went, he pulled them all into voting me out, and I have no idea why since I never talked to the guy.
Joe: I was surprised that I was voted out, they knew I wanted Skylar gone so I just figured they would vote for him.
Cody: So at this point in the game are there still people who haven't talked to each other? Do you think that that will change things on this new merged tribe?
Joe: I'm not sure if there are still people who haven't talked, I can't speak for them. I think me being on only two tribes and never HAVING to speak to the other tribe people hurt me in the end. I was very safe with the Dragonez tribe who basically made up all of Fu Mal, so I never had to talk to the others, the other Dragonez, except Jacob and David, probably will have the same problem.
Cody: Now switching gears a little lets talk about the idol. We know someone has found it but obviously they haven't used it yet. Will this unknown of who has the idol make it tougher to vote someone out? Did the idol have an affect on the way you voted?
Joe: It didn't have any effect on me since I knew nobody on Fu Mal had it. I've been told who has it and I'm not going to say it here since it would help them in the long run and I don't want that. All I'll say is I never was on the same tribe as them and hopefully that is enough for a few.
Cody: Joe you are so sneaky. Tell me a little about the people left in the game. Anyone you are rooting for? Who would you like see go next?
Joe: I would like to see Deighton or Sammy go next. I'm not going to see who I want to win as it could hurt them. The person I'm in the middle with is Skylar, since I know he should be here and not me.
Cody: Now you keep mentioning that Skylar should be here and not you. Tell me what it is about Skylar that you don't like.
Joe: It's not that I don't like Skylar, I do like him. It's just that at the time he was the person who was not pulling their weight and I based on during that time in the game I thought it was his time to go, not mine as I was pulling my weight for the team.
Cody: Well Joe unfortunately Skylar outwitted, outplayed, and outlasted you as did the other castaways. Before we go any last words for those still left out there?
Joe: I just want to say good luck to a few people, they know who they are. I hope they all have fun and maybe I'll see then again sometime soon
Cody: Joe thanks for stopping by today and congratulations on making as far as you did.
Joe: Thanks Cody! Thanks for having me
Well Joe thanks for talking with us. Join me next time when I speak with Matt the second member of the jury.
