Alright today I had the joy of talking with Jacob. Jacob is the first member of the jury and he will one day decide who wins this game.
Cody: Welcome to ¡Surv1vor Live! How is it going Jacob?
Jacob: Going great, I am thankful to be here
Cody: Well Jacob tell me a little about the time you spent in China.
Jacob: Well, everyday was a new adventure. China was a beautiful place to play the game, and the competition was really fierce. Everybody playing this game was really tough.
Jacob: *was really tough
Cody: Tell me, who do you think was your biggest competition?
Jacob: Hmmmmmmm, I think my biggest competition physically was Chelsea and Sammy because they did really well in every challenge, and mentally, in my opinion, it was Skylar, Deighton, and Tom who were my biggest competition because they seemed like they were in control all the time
Cody: Now that the tribes have merged do you think these people who are bigger competition will have a tougher time or do you think they will have it easier?
Jacob: I think they will have a tougher time, because hidden alliances will probably come into play and they may get surprised on how the game changed on them
Cody: What about the people like Chelsea and Sammy who are challenge threats? Will they also have a tougher time being able to win?
Jacob: Oh definitely. They are very strong in challenges, and people will probably not want that kind of threat
Jacob: around them.
Cody: So you think that the people who are kind of flying under the radar will do better? Honestly is anyone safe at this point?
Jacob: People who do fly under the radar might do better, but people will soon figure them out, and they will probably be voted out. No one is ever safe in this game except if they have immunity.
Cody: And also if they have the immunity idol. Will the idol become a vital part of this game? Will people become a little worried about who has it?
Jacob: Oh definitely, because nobody knows who has it, and if a person accidentally ticks someone off who does have it, they could be voted in a flash.
Cody: Were you surprised to find out that you were the first member of the jury?
Jacob: Yes, I totally was. I first was shocked that I was voted out, but then I made the jury. I was very happy.
Cody: As the first member of the jury you are going to have plenty of time to thank about who should win this game. What characteristics are you looking for in a winner? Is it a personal vote or are you voting for the best player?
Jacob: I am looking for a player that has played every aspect of the game to his/her fullest. I am voting for the best player. Even if Skylar was in final two, I would vote for him if I thought he played the better game.
Cody: Now you mentioned Skylar. Did something happen between you two?
Jacob: Well, this is what happened in my opinion. During the red rover challenge with the Chinese Zodiac, Skylar was the reason why we lost. And I started to realize he hadn't been that strong in challenges, and we were losing tribe members fast. I put into my head that if we have to vote out a weak member, Skylar should be voted off. He was in an alliance with me, with the other Dragonez people. However, the merge was coming close, and I knew that the tribe should be at its best if we were going not keep voting people out.
Jacob: During the last Immunity challenge, he totally bombed the challenge for us again. And I started telling people that Skylar might be a good idea to vote out. I then thought we would kidnap Richard to have a strong tribe. But then I found out the hard way that the game can change on you. JP and Zoe, who I thought were aligned with me, told Skylar about my plan and flipped out. After a little argument, I thought we were cool and were going to vote out Chelsea and Kidnap Richard, but I was secretly going to still vote him off because I did not trust him one bit. However, I finally realized I was really in trouble when JP and Zoe aligned with Skylar and Banished Chelsea leaving me without an ally
Jacob: I then started scrambling to see if anyone would give me the idol, had another argument with Skylar, and tried to persuade JP and Zoe to vote him off. But, they didn't trust me either, and then I was voted off.
Cody: Wow so you didn't go down without a fight. Why did Zoe and JP feel safer with Skylar instead of with you?
Jacob: Well, I was told by JP that I could not be trusted, and I guess that was true because I was trying to get rid of an alliance member. But I didn't want to go into the merge with fewer numbers, and a person I could not trust and would let us down in more challenges giving the other people a chance to pick us off.
Cody: That is exactly what I was wondering. Why would your tribe want to go into a merge with the minority of people? In your opinion are Skylar, Zoe, and JP next to go?
Jacob: Yeah, I think they are. I know I may be a hypocrite for going against an alliance member when I wanted to be loyal to my alliance. But I felt Skylar could not be trusted, and I wanted to have a strong tribe for the next immunity challenge so we could hopefully have the numbers when going into the merge.
Cody: Well you have had the chance to see Matt be banished to Fu Mal and then voted out. What are your feelings on that?
Jacob: Well, I was a bit shocked that Matt was banished, but I understand the logic. Nirvana knew that they would have the numbers going into the merge and probably wanted to get rid of a person they could probably not trust
Cody: Well Jacob let’s talk for a bit about the game so far. Now at first there were three tribes and then two. However, we still saw tribal lines. Do you think those tribal lines will continue to affect the game?
Jacob: Yes I think they will, but who knows what could happen. I think tribal lines will be shown at first, but those people are going to get sick of each other and probably vote out there own kind.
Cody: Well Jacob I have really enjoyed talking to you. Thanks for letting us know all about the game thus far. Before we go any last messages for those still fighting it out in China?
Jacob: I wish everyone the best of luck. Everyone deserves to be there because they have each found there own way of getting there.
Cody: Well Jacob I thank you for coming on the show today and I hope to hear from you again soon!
Jacob: It was my pleasure, thanks for having me.
Cody: Anytime!
Thank you Jacob for stopping by! I would love to have you on again some other day. Especially as we near the final tribal council.
